Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ModdedMC Network website, Minecraft servers, Discord community, store, and other services operated by ModdedMC Network.
By accessing our website, connecting to a ModdedMC Minecraft server, joining our Discord community, making a purchase, or otherwise using a ModdedMC service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using any ModdedMC service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our server and community rules, and any additional rules that apply to a specific service or feature.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use ModdedMC services.
2. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age requirements applicable to the services and third-party platforms you use in connection with ModdedMC.
Users of Minecraft, Microsoft accounts, Discord, and other third-party services are responsible for complying with the terms and age requirements established by those providers.
If you are under the age at which you may legally enter into an agreement in your location, your use of ModdedMC may require the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. The ModdedMC Network
ModdedMC operates a community-based modded Minecraft network that may include:
- Minecraft game servers
- Modpacks and related server configurations
- The ModdedMC website
- Our Discord community
- Player support and moderation systems
- Community events and features
- Store purchases, ranks, and in-game benefits
- Other services or features introduced by ModdedMC
Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, add, replace, suspend, reset, or discontinue servers, modpacks, features, worlds, content, or other services at any time.
4. Community Rules and Conduct
You are responsible for your behavior while using ModdedMC services. All players and community members must follow our published rules and any reasonable instructions provided by ModdedMC staff.
Prohibited conduct may include:
- Cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized tools or modifications
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, duplication methods, or unintended game mechanics
- Attempting to bypass bans, restrictions, security systems, or moderation actions
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward others
- Intentionally disrupting servers, services, or other players
- Advertising unrelated servers, communities, products, or services without permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to ModdedMC systems or another user's account
- Interfering with network security or availability
- Impersonating staff members or other users
- Engaging in conduct that violates applicable law
- Encouraging or assisting others in violating our rules
5. Moderation and Enforcement
ModdedMC staff may take reasonable action to protect the network, our players, and the community.
- Warnings
- Removal of messages or content
- Temporary or permanent mutes
- Temporary suspensions
- Restrictions on specific features
- Temporary or permanent bans
- Removal from the Discord community
- Restrictions or removal of access to ranks, perks, or other network features
Enforcement decisions may consider the severity of the conduct, previous violations, available evidence, and other relevant circumstances. Attempts to evade an enforcement action may result in additional restrictions.
Where available, players may submit a ban or moderation appeal through the official ModdedMC support or Discord system. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that an enforcement action will be changed or removed.
6. Minecraft, Mods, and Third-Party Content
ModdedMC is an independently operated community network centered around modded Minecraft. Minecraft and related trademarks, software, and assets are owned by their respective rights holders.
Individual mods, modpacks, textures, artwork, libraries, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective authors and copyright holders.
ModdedMC does not claim ownership of third-party mods or other third-party intellectual property merely because they are used on our servers. Your use of Minecraft remains subject to the applicable Microsoft and Mojang agreements, policies, and usage guidelines.
ModdedMC is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially associated with Microsoft or Mojang unless explicitly stated otherwise.
7. Store Purchases, Ranks, and Virtual Items
ModdedMC may offer optional purchases through an online store or authorized payment provider such as Tebex.
- Server ranks
- Cosmetic features
- In-game perks
- Virtual items
- Access to optional features
- Other digital benefits
Any additional terms presented by the store or payment provider at checkout also apply to your purchase.
Purchases provide a limited right to use the applicable rank, perk, item, or benefit within ModdedMC. They do not give you ownership of ModdedMC systems, software, servers, virtual economies, or other intellectual property.
Virtual items, ranks, balances, perks, and other digital benefits have no guaranteed real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash through ModdedMC.
8. Changes to Purchased Benefits
Minecraft servers and modpacks regularly change because of updates, balancing decisions, technical issues, resets, mod changes, and other development considerations.
As a result, ModdedMC may reasonably modify, rebalance, replace, or discontinue individual virtual items, perks, commands, features, or benefits associated with a purchase.
Where practical, we will attempt to preserve the general purpose or value of purchased benefits, but we cannot guarantee that every specific feature will remain unchanged indefinitely.
Purchasing a rank or other benefit does not guarantee permanent access to a particular Minecraft server, world, modpack, feature, or version.
9. Refunds and Chargebacks
Because most ModdedMC store products are digital benefits that may be delivered shortly after purchase, purchases are generally considered final once fulfilled.
Refunds may nevertheless be provided where required by applicable law, required by the applicable store or payment provider's terms, or approved by ModdedMC under exceptional circumstances.
If you experience a problem with a purchase, please contact us before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized chargebacks may result in suspension of associated ModdedMC accounts or benefits where permitted by law and the applicable payment provider's rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
10. Voluntary Donations
ModdedMC may separately accept voluntary donations or contributions that do not provide a rank, item, perk, or other promised benefit in return.
A voluntary donation is intended to support the operation of the network and does not create ownership rights or guarantee any particular service, feature, or reward.
11. User-Submitted Content
You may voluntarily submit content to ModdedMC through features such as Discord, support requests, staff applications, reports, uploads, or other community systems. You retain whatever ownership rights you may have in content you create.
By submitting content to ModdedMC, you give us permission to store, display, reproduce, review, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate the network
- Provide support
- Investigate reports
- Enforce community rules
- Maintain security
- Administer staff systems
- Manage the ModdedMC community
You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit does not violate applicable law or another person's rights.
12. ModdedMC Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the ModdedMC name, branding, logos, website design, original written content, custom graphics, custom software, network-specific configurations, and other original ModdedMC materials belong to ModdedMC or their respective licensors.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, impersonate, commercially exploit, or present ModdedMC intellectual property as your own without permission. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of ModdedMC intellectual property to users.
13. Website and Service Security
You may not attempt to:
- Gain unauthorized access to ModdedMC systems or administrative features
- Probe or scan our systems for vulnerabilities without authorization
- Circumvent authentication, access controls, rate limits, or security protections
- Introduce malware or malicious code
- Disrupt or overload our website, servers, or infrastructure
- Use automated systems in a manner that interferes with normal service operation
- Obtain information or data that you are not authorized to access
Security vulnerabilities should be reported privately to ModdedMC rather than publicly disclosed or exploited.
14. Third-Party Services
ModdedMC relies on third-party services and infrastructure to operate portions of the network. These may include services such as:
- Discord: community communication, player support, and other integrations.
- Tebex or other authorized payment providers: store purchases and payment processing where applicable.
- Cloudflare: website security, performance, traffic filtering, and network protection.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: servers, networking, storage, and other technical infrastructure.
- Microsoft and Mojang services: Minecraft authentication and related game services.
Your use of third-party services is also subject to the terms, policies, and privacy practices of those providers. ModdedMC is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, or policies of third-party services.
15. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
By using ModdedMC, you acknowledge that certain information may be processed as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the network, including Minecraft usernames, account UUIDs, IP and connection information, moderation records, and other information described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Service Availability and Data
We work to maintain stable and reliable services, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Servers, worlds, player data, inventories, virtual items, configurations, website features, or other information may occasionally be affected by:
- Hardware or software failures
- Mod or game updates
- Corrupted data
- Security incidents
- Maintenance
- Server resets
- Third-party outages
- Administrative errors
- Events outside our reasonable control
You acknowledge that game progress and virtual items may occasionally be lost, changed, rolled back, or reset.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ModdedMC services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not guarantee that:
- Services will always be available
- Servers will be free from bugs or errors
- Worlds or player data will never be lost
- Mods or modpacks will remain compatible
- Third-party services will remain available
- Any particular feature will continue indefinitely
Your use of ModdedMC is at your own risk.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ModdedMC and its operators, administrators, staff members, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use the network.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses relating to:
- Minecraft worlds or progress
- Virtual items or inventories
- Server downtime
- Third-party services
- Account access
- Community interactions
- Data loss
- Mod or game compatibility
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
19. Termination of Access
You may stop using ModdedMC at any time. ModdedMC may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to some or all services when reasonably necessary because of:
- Violation of these Terms
- Violation of network rules
- Security concerns
- Fraud or abuse
- Legal requirements
- Actions that threaten ModdedMC or its community
Termination or restriction of access does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund for previously delivered digital benefits except where required by applicable law or applicable payment-provider terms.
20. Changes to the Network
ModdedMC is an evolving Minecraft community. We reserve the right to change:
- Available servers
- Modpacks
- Server configurations
- Rules
- Staff structures
- Game mechanics
- Store offerings
- Ranks and perks
- Website features
- Community systems
These changes may occur with or without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to ModdedMC, our services, applicable requirements, or network policies.
When these Terms are updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
Significant changes may also be announced through the ModdedMC website or Discord community. Your continued use of ModdedMC after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
