ModdedMC Network ("ModdedMC," "we," "us," or "our") is a community-operated modded Minecraft server network.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website, Minecraft servers, staff systems, and other ModdedMC-operated services where this policy is displayed or referenced.

2. Information We Collect

The information we process depends on how you interact with ModdedMC.

Website Visitors

• Your IP address
• Your approximate country or geographic region derived from your connection
• The date and time of your visit
• Basic request and security information
• A session identifier used to distinguish individual visits

We use this information primarily to identify unique visitors, detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, and understand general website usage. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or track your activity across unrelated websites.

Minecraft Players

When you connect to a ModdedMC Minecraft server, information processed by the server may include:

• Your Minecraft username
• Your Minecraft account UUID
• Your IP address and connection information
• Server activity necessary to operate the game
• Moderation information associated with your account

Moderation information may include warnings, bans, staff notes, reports, relevant logs, or evidence associated with enforcing our server rules.

Discord and Community Features

If you interact with ModdedMC through Discord, we may process information such as your:

• Discord username
• Discord user ID
• Minecraft username or UUID if accounts are linked
• Messages or information you voluntarily provide when requesting support

Discord itself processes information according to its own privacy policies and terms. We do not collect private Discord information that is not provided to us or made available through features you choose to use.

Staff Members and Applicants

Additional information may be collected from approved staff members and people who voluntarily submit a staff application. This may include:

• Minecraft username and UUID
• Discord username or ID
• Contact information voluntarily provided to us
• Staff application responses
• Internal staff or administrative information

This information is used only for evaluating applications, communicating with staff, managing permissions, operating the network, and maintaining appropriate internal records.

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect for purposes such as:

• Operating our Minecraft servers and website
• Allowing players to connect and use network features
• Maintaining account or Discord integrations where applicable
• Providing player and community support
• Preventing spam, fraud, exploits, cheating, and other abuse
• Investigating security incidents
• Enforcing server and community rules
• Maintaining moderation records
• Evaluating and managing staff members
• Measuring general website activity
• Troubleshooting technical problems
• Improving the reliability and usability of ModdedMC

We do not sell personal information or use collected information to create advertising profiles.

The ModdedMC website uses a limited number of cookies or similar browser technologies required for normal website functionality.

We do not use advertising cookies or cookies intended to track your browsing activity across unrelated websites. If optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, this policy and any applicable consent controls will be updated.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited number of third-party services to operate and protect the ModdedMC Network.

• Cloudflare: website security, traffic filtering, performance services, and protection against malicious traffic.
• Discord: community communication, support, account linking, moderation, and related community features.
• Google Fonts: fonts used by portions of our website. When remotely hosted Google Fonts are used, your browser may connect to Google's servers.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: servers, networking, storage, and infrastructure needed to operate ModdedMC.

These providers may process limited technical information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information to these providers or advertisers.

7. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect information handled by ModdedMC. Depending on the system, these protections may include access controls, authentication requirements, encryption, restricted administrative access, firewall protections, security monitoring, and other measures intended to reduce unauthorized access or misuse.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit both the amount of information we collect and the number of people and systems that can access it.

8. Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Website visitor records maintained for general analytics and security purposes are retained for no more than 365 days, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

• Security records may be retained while reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent abuse.
• Moderation records may be retained as necessary to enforce network rules and identify repeated violations.
• Staff records may be retained while a person is a staff member and for a reasonable administrative period afterward.
• Staff applications may be retained as reasonably necessary for application and staffing purposes.
• Support information may be retained while a request is active and for a reasonable period afterward.

9. International Data Processing

ModdedMC and some of the service providers we use may operate systems in different countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country or region where you live. Where legally required, applicable safeguards are used by the relevant service provider for international transfers of personal information.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights regarding personal information associated with you.

• Request access to certain personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of certain information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Request information about how your data is used

Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request when there is a legitimate security, moderation, legal, or operational reason for doing so. We may also need enough information to reasonably verify that a privacy request relates to you.

11. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to request information about certain personal information collected about them, request correction or deletion, and obtain information regarding certain disclosures.

ModdedMC does not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Children's Privacy

ModdedMC does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through our website, staff applications, or community features.

Some technical information may be processed automatically when a person connects to a Minecraft server because it is necessary for the server to function and remain secure.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to ModdedMC that should not have been collected, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove the information.

13. No Sale or Advertising Profile

ModdedMC does not sell or rent personal information. We do not maintain advertising profiles about our players or website visitors, and information collected for security, moderation, analytics, or network operations is not repurposed for targeted advertising.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ModdedMC changes, new features are introduced, or legal and security requirements evolve. When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.

Significant changes may also be announced through the ModdedMC website or Discord community.
