Rules

Important Note:

Please take a moment to read and follow these rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.

By accessing our servers, website, or Discord, you agree to adhere to the rules outlined below. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary actions, up to and including a permanent ban from all MMCN services.

1. Honest Gameplay

  • Play fairly and report any exploits or bugs you encounter. Cheating, duping, or exploiting bugs is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.

2. Respect For Others

  • 2a. Be Civil and Respectful: Direct insults, threats, and racism are strictly prohibited.
  • 2b. Scamming: Trade fairly and honestly. Scamming other players out of their items or currency is forbidden.
  • 2c. Stealing: Respect others' belongings. Do not steal items from other players, even in seemingly abandoned areas.
  • 2d. Griefing: Do not destroy or alter another player's builds or property without permission. This includes placing or removing blocks that interfere with someone else's creations.
  • 2e. RDM (Random DeathMatch): Do not attack or kill other players without their permission. PvP must be consensual.
  • 2f. Respect Boss Structures: Do not claim or block access to boss structures or other key structures that are essential for progression in the game. This includes areas containing high-value loot necessary for game advancement.
  • 2g. No Hate Speech: Racial slurs, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and any form of hate speech will not be tolerated.
  • 2h. Respect All Backgrounds: Racism, discrimination, or offensive remarks towards religions, nationalities, or people from other countries are strictly prohibited.
  • 2i. Promote Inclusivity: We are committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone, regardless of identity or background. Any form of discrimination is unacceptable.
  • 2j. Vulgarity: Vulgarity is allowed but should not be excessive or obnoxious. Use discretion when communicating with others.

3. Server Performance

  • 3a. Mob Spawner Management: Set up spawners responsibly. You may use multiple of the same type of spawner since mob stacking is enabled on most of our servers; however, having multiple different spawner types in one farm is not allowed. Each farm or mob grinder should only contain one type of spawner. Ensure that all mobs generated by the spawner are properly stacking. Failure to do so can result in unnecessary lag, and staff may intervene if the issue persists.
  • 3b. Lag-Inducing Setups: Avoid creating setups that degrade server performance, such as cross-chunk multiblock machines or excessively large redstone contraptions.
  • 3c. Efficient Storage Systems: Use "Applied Energistics 2" setups for the best and most efficient storage. Avoid setups that cause lag, such as cross-chunk multiblock machines, and consult others if unsure.
  • 3d. Chunk Loading: Use chunk loaders sparingly and ensure they are necessary for your build. Excessive use of chunk loaders can significantly impact server performance.
  • 3e. Pipe Network Management: Avoid connecting a large number of machines (e.g., over 50) to a single item pipe network, as this can cause excessive container checks and degrade server performance. Ensure your setup is optimized to minimize lag.
  • 3f. Toms Storage & Simple Storage Mod: While it is fine to use Toms Storage or Simple Storage mods, be aware that connecting a large number of containers can cause significant server lag. To reduce this, please limit your storage system to around 50 connected containers.
  • 3g. Responsibility for Lag: If a base or setup causes excessive server lag and is not optimized after being notified, staff may disable or destroy the lag-inducing elements without warning.

4. In-Game Economy

  • 4a. Fair Pricing: Avoid selling valuable or high-tier items to new players at excessively low prices. This can undermine progression and ruin the experience for others by giving them access to items they have not yet earned or worked towards.
  • 4b. No Dumping Excess Resources: Do not flood the market with excess resources, especially if it could devalue items that are critical to the progression system within the modpack. If you have an overabundance of resources, consider trading responsibly or giving them away sparingly.
  • 4c. Avoid Breaking Progression: Be mindful of the impact your trades can have on others. Selling items that significantly shortcut other players progression can detract from the overall gameplay experience. Respect the intended progression of the modpack and encourage others to play through it at their own pace.
  • 4d. Economic Manipulation: Do not attempt to manipulate the in-game economy by hoarding or artificially inflating the value of certain items. This can disrupt the balance of the server and negatively affect other players' experience.
  • 4e. Trade Responsibly: Always consider the impact of your trades. If you are unsure whether a trade could disrupt the balance of the game, consult with staff before proceeding.

Reporting Violations

  • Report any violations of these rules to the moderation team immediately. Do not take matters into your own hands; let staff handle enforcement.
