Automation Guidelines
These are here to help keep the server running smoothly for everyone. Most setups are fine, just try to be mindful of how much you are running at once.
Cobblemon Pastures: please don’t use too many pastures. Staff may ask you to limit them if needed. We recommend around 3 pastures max. Each pasture can hold 16 Pokémon, and they constantly tick all Pokémon inside, which adds up quickly.
Applied Energistics Growth Accelerators: please avoid using too many. These create ticking grids inside the AE system and can add a lot of overhead. Try to keep it under 10. A good alternative is using lilypads from Reliquary for crop growth.
Botany Pots: we recommend not relying on these long term. They are fine early game, but using a lot of them adds up since each one is a ticking block entity. Please move towards Mystical Agriculture or other farming methods as you progress.
Applied Energistics Storage Buses: try not to use these on large inventories. When the system refreshes, it scans every slot in connected containers, which can cause lag if there are many large inventories.
General Automation: the bigger your farms and systems get, the more logic is running every server tick and the more they impact the servers overall performance. If staff ask you to scale something down, please respect it. It’s just to keep things running well for everyone.
