Server Rules

Please read these rules carefully. By playing on the ModdedMC Network, you agree to follow them and any future updates.

Staff decisions are final. Do not argue bans or punishments in public chat — use the proper appeal or ticket channels instead.

General Conduct

  • Be respectful: no toxicity, harassment, targeted abuse, or attempts to provoke anyone. These rules exist to keep the server welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
  • Chat standards: light swearing is allowed, but excessive, repeated, or obnoxious vulgar language is not. Keep chat readable and positive.
  • No hate or discrimination: do not insult, target, or discriminate against anyone based on personal traits, beliefs, or background.
  • No drama or disputes in public chats: avoid politics, conflicts, or anything likely to cause arguments or disrupt the server environment.
  • Usernames & skins: offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive usernames or skins are not allowed. You will be asked to change them; failure to do so within a reasonable timeframe may result in a ban.
  • Builds & in-game content: do not create offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive builds, including structures intended to shock, harass, or visually grief the world. Using mods (such as ComputerCraft or display mods) to show NSFW or political content is not allowed.
  • Respect staff decisions: follow staff instructions and cooperate during investigations. If you disagree, use the ticket or appeal system instead of arguing publicly.
  • Advertising: SFW personal content (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) is allowed. Please do not advertise other Minecraft servers.

Gameplay Rules

  • No griefing, stealing, or trolling: respect other players’ builds and items, do not claim boss structures or the main End island, and avoid non-consensual PvP (except where a server specifically allows it). Report unclaimed bases to staff.
  • No unfair advantages: no hacked clients, X-ray, combat cheats, or abuse of bugs/exploits. Please report exploits instead of using them.
  • World preservation: do not heavily mine, quarry, or destroy large areas of non-resource worlds (such as the Overworld) purely for materials. Use designated mining dimensions or resource worlds instead to keep the main world playable and visually clean.
  • Illegitimate items: do not use, trade, or store items that were not obtained legitimately or were not intended to be obtainable through normal gameplay. Report such items to staff.

Performance & Server Health

To keep servers stable and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these performance-focused rules:

  • Limit NBT-heavy storage: tools, armor, backpacks, enchanted gear, and other NBT-heavy items add significant overhead in systems like AE2 or Refined Storage. Avoid stockpiling large quantities in automated storage.
  • Build automation to match your needs: avoid massive setups far beyond your current progression. Steady, scaled production over time is preferred to prevent unnecessary server load.
  • Mob farms & AFKing: AFK mob farms are allowed, but farms must kill mobs efficiently and collect items quickly. Overkill farms that outspawn their kill or collection systems, cause item drop spam, or create lag are not allowed. For large-scale mob loot, use intended alternatives such as Hostile Neural Networks.

Economy & Progression Rules

These rules exist to protect fair progression and prevent players from skipping parts of the game. A healthy economy means new and existing players have a meaningful experience.

  • Responsible pricing: do not sell items at unrealistically low prices. Extreme undercutting devalues progression and disrupts the server economy.
  • Free item handouts: giving away advanced gear, machines, or late-game progression items for free is not allowed, as it allows players to skip intended progression. Reasonable exceptions may be allowed at staff discretion.
  • No fixed price lists: we do not provide minimum or official prices. Item values change based on progression, supply, and demand.
  • Staff enforcement: staff might ask you to adjust or remove listings that harm the economy. Please listen — it’s about server health, not punishment.
